The Community Kitchen, located at 430 North Larch in Lansing, saw a record increase of 27 percent in meals served the first five months of the fiscal year.  Since July 1, 2009 the Kitchen has served 43,800 meals.  This is a 45 percent increase in meals served the first five months of fiscal year 2007.  If the trend continues, the Community Kitchen wil serve over 100,000 total meals this year. 

 Volunteers and Donations play a large role in the Community Kitchen operations.

• Non-expired, unopened foods
• Plates, Bowls and Silverware

• Pick up donations from local vendors
• Preparing and Serving Meals
• Groups to sponsor entire meals (bring food and serve)
