IT WAS A BIG YEAR FOR THE LIONS AND OUR VETERANS
In April 2024, the NFL Draft brought a wave of excitement to Detroit, but the impact extended far beyond the football field. Among the highlights was the heartwarming volunteer work by Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye at our Detroit Veterans Housing Program (DVHP).

As we embark on a new year filled with opportunity, we want to first reflect on the profound impact we have acheived together in 2024.
Thanks to your unwavering compassion and generosity, Volunteers of America Michigan has continued to uplift individuals and families across our state. Together, we’ve provided homes to unhoused veterans, equipped children with backpacks and supplies for a strong start to school, and ensured our seniors can age safely and securely in their homes. Each act of kindness has brought hope to those who needed it most.
